Mark Hallam will also oversee all aspects of personal lines portfolio

Mark Hallam has been appointed as head of marketing for personal lines at Swinton.

Rising through the ranks, Hallam joined insurance broker Colonnade 16 years ago, which was acquired by Swinton in 2002, and spent the last three years heading up Swinton’s Business Change department.

His new marketing role covers all aspects of Swinton’s personal lines portfolio, including motor, home, pet, life and travel insurance policies both online and through the branch network.

Online, Hallam will be responsible for marketing Swinton’s expanding ‘quote and buy’ policies and the company’s other dedicated internet brands, its4me and bullseyeinsurance.

He will also support Swinton’s 463 branches with an intensive marketing drive including point of sale, directory advertising and direct mail.

Nick Bowyer, Swinton marketing director said: “We are currently undergoing an extensive expansion programme and marketing is core to this activity. Mark’s new role incorporates all our marketing disciplines – increasing consistency and strengthening our brand offering.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
