Broker keen to buy more regional commercial brokers

Swinton has bought Cleethorpes-based CH Turner Insurance Consultants, its second acquisition of the year.

Owner Peter Lea will join Swinton’s commercial regional centre in Grimsby.

He said: ”I’m delighted to be joining such a strong commercial team in the area and, having thought long and hard about the best move for both me and my CH Turner clients, I’m confident it’s the right decision for all.”

Swinton Commercial director Carolyn Callan said the broker was keen to speak to others interested in selling their business and joining its operations.

Swinton made 12 acquisitions last year as it looks to grow its commercial lines book.

In January it bought Anderson Insurance.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
