Combined site to be based in new location in Burton-upon-Trent
Swinton Commercial is merging its offices in Burton and Lichfield into a single hub.
The combined centre will operate from a new location in Ascension House in Burton-upon-Trent.
A spokesman for the company said there would be no job losses as a result of the merger, and that one vacancy had been created. He added that more jobs could be greated in due course.
Swinton said it was making the move to “provide a stronger platform to deliver customer service, whilst remaining local and accessible to the company’s client base”.
It added that the team at the Burton office can provide information and quotes from all sectors across the region.
Last July the broking group announced it wanted to reduce its total number of branches to 400 from 475 by the end of 2014.
But in August it revealed it had beat the deadline and had reduced the count to 398 offices.The Burton and Lichfield merger was included in the August count.
