High street broker Swinton is in talks to buy Brunsdon Westinsure, Insurance Times has learnt.
The sale of the Swindon-based broker is set to be completed on 1 July.
Brunsdon is owned by the shareholders of the Westinsure Group broker network, but has no connection to Ink Insurance, the owner of the network.
Brunsdon has written to its sub-brokers to tell them that they would need to negotiate new deals for any wholesale business going through the broker.
Swinton declined to comment.
