New policy for those sick of aerial knockabouts.

We were all shocked by the headlines when a routine XL Airways flight from Kos to Manchester went wrong after a drunken brawl resulted in the plane being grounded in Frankfurt.

The newspapers rushed to lament the boozy British culture once again, as beleaguered Greek tourist towns muttered warnings about banning Brits altogether. But if that proves too tough, or you find yourself stuck on plane with some drunken townies, fear not! Karma Insurance has just the policy for victims of air rage, with compensation to clients taking out a travel and legal expenses policy with the company.

Karma managing director Brian Wright says: “Legal expenses ensures a team of solicitors are on hand to fight your corner if you’re feeling aggrieved about any situation you fall victim to, and this recent incident is a case in point.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
