Insurancetimes.co.uk reveals new tenders daily. This week's picks include:
Oxfordshire County Council has put out a call to tender for its entire book of insurance cover. A spokeswoman said the council would negotiate its own cover. She said: "The major insurers are not interested in the local municipal risks and as a result the major brokers find it difficult to place such risks." Newport City Council has put out a second call to tender for several of its insurance covers. Its existing insurers have told the council that its policies are now up for renewal. The council will choose from a panel of insurers, which include Royal & SunAlliance, Allianz Cornhill and Groupama Insurance. Central Scotland Joint Police Board has issued a call to tender for its book of insurance covers worth up to £513m. Marsh will handle the broking of the cover, which is expected to last for a minimum of 36 months. The deadline for completion is 13 March.
