Insurancetimes.co.uk reveals new tenders daily. This week's picks include:

  • Lothian & Borders Fire Board has put the insurance cover for its fire appliances out to tender. A council spokesman said it was likely to choose from its existing panel, which includes Zurich Municipal and Royal & SunAlliance.

  • Strathclyde Police Board has issued a notice calling for insurers to bid for several key contracts. The board is looking for cover for its liability and motor accounts. A spokesman said the board would prefer a long-term cover agreement.

  • Newport City Council's insurance is up for renewal. It is understood the council would prefer to stay with one of its panel of existing insurers, which includes Royal & SunAlliance, Allianz Cornhill and Groupama.

  • The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

    Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
