Changes to capital gains tax prompt share selling spree
Andrew Higginson, who runs Tesco’s bank, insurance and mobile phone businesses, sold more than £2.1 million-worth of shares on Wednesday, the Times reports.
Tax experts said that many more company directors woudl cash in ahead of an expected increase in capital gains tax.
