Liability adjuster was appointed by the insurer’s liquidators

Liability adjuster The Quest Partnership has been appointed to handle liability claims for failed Latvian insurer Balva.

The appointment was made after Balva had its operating licences withdrawn and entered liquidation.

Chief executive Peter Mann said: “I hope our appointment provides reassurance to Balva policyholders that their claims will continue to be handled professionally and equitably.

“We have been carrying out instructions from Balva for some time previous to their demise and we are working closely with the liquidator and the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.”

The Quest Partnership had previously handled employers’ liability, public liability and product liability claims for Balva before its collapse.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
