Aon chief executive Greg Case upbeat after new business boost for UK

Aon chief execuvie Greg Case said the UK and EMEA have done ‘fantastically well’ so far this year, achieving signficant new business wins.

Case, speaking with analysts following the first quarter results, said: ”… we just have an exceptioanlly strong team in EMEA and the UK. 

“And they’ve done fantastically well; double-digit new busines growth, which has been absolutely spectacular, sort of across the region and in the UK.

Case also praised new acquisitions, which includes UK broking group Henderson, saying they done ‘exceptionally well’.

As a group, on a pro forma basis, total revenue increased 13% to $3.1 billion.

Organic revenue growth was up 3% compared to the same quarter last year. 

Commercial risk solutions, enjoyed organic growth of 4%. 

Gallagher group boss Pat Gallagher was equally praiseworthy of his UK and London market team, saying the results achieved so far this year were spectacular.

Marsh said the EMEA and UK had so far endured a ‘challenging year’.
