Arthur J Gallagher bought a 78.5% stake in the broker in 2012

Three members of the senior team at broker Insurance Dialogue (IDL) have left the company, Insurance Times understands.

A spokesman acting on behalf of Arthur J Gallagher, which owns a majority stake in the firm, confirmed that managing director David Holden, finance director Phil Davis and operations director Luke Davy have left the company.

He added that Craig McVoy had been brought in from LV= to drive an “enhanced” sales operation.

He told Insurance Times: “We are thankful to David Holden for his hard work and efforts to get IDL to where it is and it’s now firmly embedded in the AJG fold.”

In May 2012 Gallagher bought a 78.5% stake in IDL, which specialises in personal lines insurance for over-50s.

Gallagher bought out Equity Insurance Group’s 51% stake in IDL, plus shares from the existing IDL management.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
