Hitchhikers could get more than they bargained for when a driver stops to offer them a lift, according to online motor broker, motorinsurance.co.uk.

In yet another riveting survey designed, no doubt, to show insurance as an enlightened sector, motorinsurance.co.uk found 40% of motorists stop for hitchhikers because they find them attractive, and 85% of these drivers are encouraged by the prospect of sex.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
