The gang of four heading Royal Bank of Scotland's merged Direct Line and Churchill are working all hours to get the merger issues away in just a few months, according to one insider. And one of the most interesting moves is that Churchill chairman (now RBIS deputy chairman) Martin Long is set to be used by Royal Bank in a groupwide role, according to the highly placed source.
