Manchester broker will transfer to Towergate’s Moscrops operation in Bury
Towergate has purchased Manchester insurance broker Watt UK Insurance Services, trading as S Saunders & Co.
The acquisition was one of two announced by Towergate yesterday, including that of Tunbridge Wells-based Lovat Insurance Brokers.
S Saunders & Co was established in 1933 and acquired by Simon Boyle in 2001.
The small community broker offers both small business and personal products, specialising in commercial insurance for local businesses, including a scheme designed to cover void periods for Housing Association landlords.
The business will transfer to Towergate’s Moscrops broking operation based in Bury, under the local management of Andrew Champion and regional trading director Tony O’Gara.
Both Boyle and his fellow director Richard Pickstock will continue in post.
