A new specialist underwriting agency has been launched by Towergate Underwriting Group.
Towergate Legal and Professional Underwriting will specialise in the legal and search indemnities associated with residential conveyancing as well as deposit guarantees and abortive cost protection.
The product range will also include commercial indemnities.
Towergate Underwriting's group managing director Peter Cullum said: "TLPU will be an excellent supplement to our existing product range designed specifically for the legal, life and mortgage market".
TLPU has been designed and created by Grant Whiskin, previously managing director of Lombard Legal Indemnity.
The new team of established legal indemnity professionals is being led by Wendy Griffiths, previously senior underwriter at CGU.
