Rory O'Brien takes role as global risk consulting and software leader

Global professional services company Towers Watson has appointed Rory O'Brien as global Risk Consulting and Software leader. He replaces Steve Taylor-Gooby, who is stepping down from the role after 25 years at the company.

O'Brien joined Towers Watson from EMB, the risk consulting and software firm acquired by Towers Watson earlier this year. At EMB, he was Managing Partner responsible for defining and implementing global strategy; a role he held since joining that firm in 2008.

Before EMB, O'Brien was the Group CEO of Guardian Holdings Limited, a publicly quoted company.

Prior to that, O'Brien, an accountant by training, was a partner at Deloitte jointly responsible for its Insurance Consulting business.
