Trashing Lloyd's

Channel 4 is inviting viewers to vote for the country's "most vile" building. The most hated buildings will then be razed and rebuilt in an effort to remove structures that "blight people's lives".

Backchat hears that wags in the London market are attempting to whip up support to get the Lloyd's building 'X listed' for destruction.

While disgruntled Names may rush to cast their vote as a way to vent their anger, it seems unlikely that the building would be pulled down.

The building's owners must first agree to the destruction. And Commerzbank, the building's recent purchaser, is hardly likely to give its consent having just splashed out £231m for it.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
