Latest statistics that will be informing travel underwriters have been released. Baggage complaints doubled to 388, according to the latest survey by the Air Transport Users Council. Complaints about delays and cancellations fell to 210. The figures were gathered before the Heathrow strikes.
Ryanair attracted the highest number of complaints per passenger, with MyTravel in second place.
Meanwhile the government is set to ratify the Montreal Convention that will let passengers to claim up to £850 for lost luggage compared to the previous £300 limit.
