?The Prince of Wales was very positive about the insurance industry’s attempts to tackle climate change at last week’s ABI conference, when he gave a speech praising the industry.

But not all participants were impressed by the Prince’s motorcade and chauffeur driven car waiting for him outside.

John Coldman, chairman of Benfield, noted during his talk on the subject that at least he didn’t have a polluting chauffeur driven car waiting for him. Ouch.

Nervous laughter subsequently rippled through the audience. Rumours have it that Coldman was later seen leaving by horse and cart.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
