David Willetts MP today blamed the government's tendency to name and shame failing insurance companies for widespread public distrust of the industry.
Speaking at MP Question Time at the ABI conference, the shadow work and pensions secretary said the treasury committee was keen to point the finger at individual companies, without considering the negative effects on the wider industry.
