New sales director and marketing boss for insurer

Hiscox has appointed Ross Dingwall as sales director of Hiscox UK with effect from 1 August.

Dingwall began his career at Hiscox over eight years ago in Glasgow, growing that region’s Art and Private Client account more than tenfold.

He went on to set up the Colchester branch in 2005 delivering significant profitable growth and establishing key broker relationships within two years before he was promoted to national sales manager in 2007.

The group has also announced the promotion of Glenn Caton to director of marketing and Hiscox Direct.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
