Ian Barker joins from RSA
UK General has appointed Ian Barker as commercial technical director.
Barker was previously motor underwriting director at RSA’s London-based Risk Solutions business for 16 years.
At UK General he will be responsible for technical underwriting and portfolio management and the product managers in the motor and non motor commercial business. He will report into commercial managing director Mike Keating.
Keating said: “It is fantastic that we have managed to attract someone of Ian’s calibre to the team and his 24 years’ experience in underwriting will bring a new dynamic to enhance our already extensive underwriting capabilities.”
