Vehicle service organisation Universal Salvage is unveiling a processing facility for end-of-life and abandoned vehicles in Sandwich, Kent on 25 September.

The facility is designed to meet the requirements of the
European end-of-life vehicle directive. Universal Salvage¹s environmental services director Ian Gaskin said: "The
facility provides insurers with the assurance that vehicles for which they are legally responsible are processed to meet European ELV legislation and there are tough penalties for those who don¹t comply. It is also designed to streamline the ELV process by eliminating movement charges, cutting time, administration and costs."
