The insurer hopes the move will allow it to increase its SME and niche channels in the UK
W R Berkley Insurance (Europe) has joined the Managing General Agent’s Association (MGAA) to help drive it’s development in the UK market.
Membership provides the insurer with access to many of the UK’s managing general agents (MGAs), which it hopes will allow it to increase its SME and niche risk distribution channels and become involved in MGAA market briefings, educational seminars and workshops.
W R Berkley Europe head of regional development Jonathan Skinner said: “Joining the MGAA is a logical step for W R Berkley Europe, having supported MGAs for over 10 years now. As we continue to expand further in the UK, joining the MGAA as an insurer member reflects our commitment to the model as a key distribution channel for SME and niche products, while enabling us to work closely with some of the best, entrepreneurial practitioners in the market.”
W R Berkley Europe’s full product range across its seven lines of business will be available to MGAA members. These include property, liability, engineering and construction, directors’ and officers’, professional indemnity, medical malpractice and accident and health.
