Angell's appointment boosts non-life growth strategy.

Watson Wyatt has enhanced its growing non-life insurance consulting team with the appointment of Kate Angell as a senior consultant.

The recruitment, which is with immediate effect, reflects Watson Wyatt's plan to be a larger player in the UK non-life market.

Angell has over 10 years' experience in non-life actuarial work and joins Watson Wyatt from Grant Thornton where she was a senior consultant in their non-life actuarial practice. At Watson Wyatt she will apply her expertise to a variety of client assignments and play a role in the ongoing growth and development of the practice.

Martin Pike, European practice director, Insurance & Financial Services at Watson Wyatt, said: "I am very pleased that Kate has joined our team at Watson Wyatt. We have ambitious plans for the growth of our non-life team, and we are keen to provide a challenge to the more established players. We think our clients will welcome an increased level of competition as we bring our expertise and energy to the market."
