RI3K simplifies pricing
Responding to market criticisms over its pricing, electronic trading service RI3K is publishing a simplified pricing tariff. Carriers will now be able to select one from a menu of three options for using the service. Uncertainty about the cost of electronic trading has become a major talking point in the London market with the commitment of Aon UK to trade electronically.

Heritage £3m placing
Lloyd’s insurer Heritage Underwriting Agency has announced the placing of 2.8 million shares at 110p per share to raise £3m together with an update of the trading outlook.

Online SME comparative quote facility Iprism has substantially boosted its penetration into broker distribution in adeal with Europa’s network of 1,500 brokers. The deal will further help the Europa Group, a mainly personal lines operation, to diversify into commercial insurance.

Willis Group has announced that Flavio Piccolomini, former chief executive of Willis’ Italian operations, Willis Italia Spa, has been appointed chief executive of Continental Europe, including the Nordic region.

Geldof to speak at Biba
Biba has announced a line-up of heavyweight speakers for its 30th conference and exhibition next year. The conference will take place in Glasgow between 30 April and 2 May, and will feature pop singer and campaigner Sir Bob Geldof and BBC security correspondent Frank Gardner. Both will make keynote presentations.
