Lockton said its real estate and construction division had been appointed as insurance broker for London's iconic 'gherkin' building by its new owner.

Jelf buys Sunninghill
Jelf Group bought Aldershot-based general insurance broker Sunninghill Insurance Brokers. It is the group's tenth acquisition in the past 12 months. Jelf will take over Sunninghill's existing £2m insurance book, growing the group's total corporate client base to more than 17,500.

Lloyd's pilots policy check
Lloyd's is piloting new technology to make it easier for underwriters and brokers to ensure that insurance contracts are right first time. The technology, being assessed during a two-month pilot, automatically checks slips and reports back on any areas that are filled in incorrectly or missing.
