Angus Wilson, deputy underwriter for hull and machine at XL Brockbank syndicate 861, has resigned.
Market speculation was that he would be joining former Brockbank Syndicate Management managing director Martin Reith.
Reith is heading up a new underwriting syndicate at Lloyd's on behalf of American International Group, writing marine, non-marine and some reinsurance.
Others rumoured to be joining the new syndicate are Andrew Brooks, former class energy underwriter at Alleghany, David James, previously political risk underwriter at XL Brockbank and Mark Donald, former non-marine energy underwriter at Houston Casualty.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
