Woodstock Insurance Brokers Ltd has acquired three general insurance brokers. Woodstock has now acquired eight brokers in its 21-month history.

The three acquisitions were General Insurance Services in Erith, Kent, Frames Insurance Services in Broadstairs, Kent, and AD Bailey &Co based in Ledbury, Herefordshire.

They will bring a combined gross premium income of approximately £2m to the company, said Woodstock managing director Tony Simper.

"Now that we have established ourselves and our expertise in acquiring books we are able to take on acquisitions rapidly into our operation at Kings Hill, West Malling, in Kent," said Simper. "We have a further deal in advanced negotiations for 1 January completion, making four deals in two months."

He added that the company expected to see up to ten or twelve further acquisitions in the coming year, plus some additional small books of business.
