World rugby champion coach Clive Woodward dropped into a Zurich get-together to offer tips to head of claims, Bill Paton, on how to develop a world-beating team last week.
The event, which involved 60 of Zurich's top claims experts scrumming down, aimed to outline the challenges for the business for 2004 and the proposed strategy for meeting the claims goals.
With subjects such as team building, talent development, collaboration, work-sharing and technical excellence on the conference agenda, Paton said: "It was awe-inspiring. It turns out there are many similarities between running a company and a rugby squad."
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
