Simon Reicher promoted from his role at corporate controller

XL Group has appointed Simon Reicher as vice president, global teasurer.

Reicher was previously senior vice president, corporate controller in the company.

Reicher’s role will be filled by Stephen Rob, who was XL’s accounting policy and SEC reporting officer.

In his new role, Reicher will be responsible for policies, information, analyses and implementation of funding and capital management,credit ratings agency relationships, short-term asset and liquidity management,treasury operations and foreign currency exposure management of XL Group plc and its subsidiaries globally.

He will report to chief operating officer Irene Esteves.

Esteves said: ““These appointments demonstrate the depth and breadth of talent within XL. I look forward to working closely with Simon and Steve to enhance XL’s global finance function in further support of the Company’s strategic growth plans.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
