XL swoops for Zurich underwriter

XL Insurance has appointed Brendan Carberry as liability underwriter in Dublin.

Carberry has over thirty years' insurance experience and joins from Zurich Insurance in Dublin where we was most recently team leader commercial new business.

Michael Cronin, regional manager - middle markets Ireland, said: "Brendan's considerable experience in commercial liability underwriting and extensive market contacts will further strengthen our reputation for underwriting expertise and client service.

"Since setting up our local Irish underwriting operation only six month ago, we have had significant interest in our offerings and look forward to further developing our Irish business."
