The Youlgrave Water Company was thrown a lifeline at the last hour by Zurich Municipal.
The waterworks had been threatened with closure because it was struggling to find a new insurer after its £5m public liability cover was not renewed by Cornhill Insurance. The company said it tried over 20 companies.
