Gerald Dodds plans to set up risk consultancy

Zurich’s chief risk officer for UK general insurance Gerald Dodds has left the insurer after 22 years and plans to set up a risk based consultancy.

Zurich confirmed that he left on 6 April.

Alastair Allison has taken on his responsibilities as interim chief risk officer for UKGI.  He was previously head of risk for business continuity and information governance.

Dodds told Insurance Times that he would take a couple of months off to travel in Italy before starting his general insurance consultancy in the summer.

Dodds was previously CFO of Zurich Specialties London.
