Zurich has signed up to the Hunter information-sharing database, and will go live on the system within the next month.
Zurich fraud liaison manager Glen Marr said: "Data-sharing is an integral part of our efforts to combat claims fraud," he said.
"We've been looking at a variety of initiatives in an attempt to combat fraud and we believe that sharing data with the key players in the industry, rather than dealing with the problem in isolation, is vitally important.
