Zurich Financial Services has announced its new life and investment business was £3.8bn in 2001, up 3% on the previous year.

New business premiums on an annual premium equivalent basis were up 2% to £692m.

The company saw solid growth in its pensions, mortgages and life insurance new business.

Zurich chief executive for life business Ray Greenshields said: "For Zurich this was a year of transformation in the UK. We reorganised our business to ensure Zurich is fully focused on the customer and implemented significant cost savings across all our operations."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
