South Wales broker Antur snaps up Haven office
Welsh broker Antur Insurance has acquired the Swansea office of Haven Insurance Brokers, its eighth deal in five years.
Haven was established in Milford Haven in the 1970s when it was known as Griffiths and Jones. The Swansea office was opened in 2002 and two offices work with around 3,000 customers across South Wales.
Antur has procured its Swansea branch only and the Milford Haven will operate as normal. The two staff from the Swansea branch of Haven will join Antur’s Swansea head office.
Antur Insurance chairman John Knox said: “This move will see Antur strengthen its competitive edge in Swansea and expand our network of customers across South Wales.
“Although 2011 will be a difficult year for the economy I am confident that Antur is on course to achieve its five year business plan growth of doubling the business.”
Antur's most recent deal was Barry-broker DW Burrows in November.
The company has a target of at least one acquisition a year for the next five years.
