David Roberts takes charge at Antur

Welsh broker Antur Insurance has appointed David Roberts as its new managing director.

Roberts has been appointed to help take the business forward and find new opportunities for Antur, including development and ownership opportunities for employees.

Antur has also created a new marketing manager role and appointed Emma Pridmore to help raise the business profile across the whole of Wales.

Roberts joins Antur after working with blue chip organisations across the world in different sectors, including manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, service and finance. He was responsible for the project management of change to finance systems and processes following the merger of Glaxo-Smithkline and Beecham and also project managed the Rolls-Royce finance function for two years.

His key objective as managing director will be to work with the management team to prepare and deliver a five year business plan, which will enhance market share and provide sustainable, profitable growth.

Roberts said: “Antur has already embarked on a very successful expansion programme that saw the business open its first office in south east Wales in Church Village and form a new partnership with Barry-based broker DW Burrows, widening our reach even further into the area. I intend to build on this success and ensure we are in great shape to face the challenges the economy and market will offer over the coming years.”

Pridmore joins Antur after two years at DesignPrint at City and County of Swansea as a marketing officer.

She said: “Antur already has a strong brand locally, being well-known for offering a personal, one-to-one service to our customers. We have the unique combination of national strength and local knowledge and I’ll be developing a new marketing strategy to mirror this success.”
