RSA has acquired the insurance assets of Expert Travel Financial Services (ETFS), a leading distributor of travel insurance in Canada.
The deal does not include ETFS’s claims and assistance subsidiary Global Excel Management (GEM), the insurer said in a statment to the London Stock Exchange.
RSA has a history of acquisitions in Canada. In October, RSA bought Canadian commercial insurer GCAN Insurance Company for $420m (£259m), making it the fourth largest general insurer in Canada.
