Former KPMG head joins board of RSA

RSA has added Alastair Barbour to its board as a non-executive director.

Barbour retired from KPMG in March 2011.

In the last 20 years of his 36 year career with the firm, in the UK and overseas, he led the financial services team in Scotland with a primary focus on insurance and investment management.

He is also a non-executive director of Standard Life European Private Equity Trust PLC, CATCo Reinsurance Opportunities Fund and Liontrust Asset Management PLC. H

RSA Chairman John Napier, said: “I am pleased to welcome Alastair to our board. He has an extensive knowledge of the insurance industry and its challenges and I am sure his experiences will also be of benefit to the group.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
