The British Medical Association and the ABI have agreed on "above inflation" increases in fee rates for doctors' reports and medical examinations undertaken as part of insurance policies.
The fee for a doctor's report will increase by 8.5% to £70.50 for 2005-06, the fee for a medical examination will increase 9.2% to £77.50, and the fee for a supplementary report at the time of the original request or later will increase 9.1% to £18.
The increases take effect on July 1.
