ACE hires Ecclesiastical’s Westwood for new Midlands role

ACE has hired former Ecclesiastical executive Matt Westwood as business development manager for Birmingham and the East Midlands.

In this newly created role, Westwood will be responsible for the development of business in Birmingham and across the East Midlands, as well as the management of broker relationships locally.

He reports to ACE’s Midlands business development manager David Rose.

He joins from Ecclesiastical, where he was business development manager in Birmingham for five years.

Before this, Westwood had 10 years’ broking experience with Marsh and JLT.

ACE regional manager for the Midlands and South West Paul Jennings said: “Matt’s appointment further demonstrates ACE’s commitment to continue to expand its regional presence.

“Matt’s appointment will give us the opportunity to better service our network of brokers and clients based in the insurance heartland of Birmingham and the East Midlands.”
