Brokers will now be able to use the Acturis system to access personal lines quotes following an exclusive deal between the software provider and quote engine brokersure.co.uk.

The deal follows the termination of Acturis' partnership with Insure-E.com in March, which gave brokers access to Insure-E.com's personal lines quotes. The move was first reported by Insurance Times in February.

The new deal with brokersure.co.uk, owned by Cox, will allow brokers to access personal lines quotes without going into a separate system.

An Acturis spokesman said that the deal would give brokers access to a "deeper and more established" panel of insurers, with "more carriers on a full-cycle [EDI] basis".

Brokersure panel quotes would also use a common policy wording, he said.

Acturis co-chief executive Theo Duchen said: "A review of our position revealed that we need a different solution on the personal lines front. We simply must deliver the widest choice of personal lines cover and competitive premiums.

"Brokersure offers our brokers greater market coverage and a more efficient and cost effective way of transacting business in tune with the FSA."

Brokersure.co.uk general manager Liz Latter said: "Acturis' decision to move forward with Brokersure is testament to its strengths as the personal lines technology solution."

Brokersure.co.uk's panel includes AXA, Allianz Cornhill, Brit and Fortis.
