Lloyd's insurer to announce successor shortly

Andrew Adie has resigned as managing director of Omega Underwriting Agents Limited (OUAL), the Lloyd's division of Omega Insurance Holdings, with immediate effect.

OUAL's chairman, John Powell, said the firm hoped to announce the appointment of Adie's successor shortly.

"Andrew has played a key role in OUAL's successful management of Syndicate 958," Powell added. "I would like to thank him for his contribution to OUAL

Adie's departure follows a string of management changes at Omega. The company overhauled its board in March at the behest of its biggest shareholder, Invesco, and replaced former chief executive Richard Tolliday with Richard Pexton.

Omega made a pre-tax loss of $34.2m in the first haolf of 2010, compared with a profit of $22.9m in the same period last year.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
