Motor insurer discussing setting up personal injury law firm following referral fee ban

Admiral

Admiral is considering setting up a personal injury law firm, according to reports.

Discussions are at an early stage and several options are being discussed.

The Cardiff-based insurer may take advantage of the Legal Services Act which opens up law firm ownership to insurers, banks and retailers.

Admiral revealed earlier this year that 6% of profits are from referral fees. Referral fees are due to be banned.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
