Ageas UK appoints replacement as Rob Smale takes on new business transformation role
Robin Challand will take on the role of Ageas UK claims director in January 2018. Challand replaces Rob Smale, who moved to Ageas’s business transformation team earlier this year.
Challand is currently director of IT for Ageas UK. He has previously worked in claims, operations and business integration.
Previous claims director Smale was involved in piloting artificial intelligence for motor claims.
Commenting on the appointment, Ageas UK insurance chief executive Francois-Xavier Boisseau said: “The claims team is very much the shop window for an insurance business and it is vital that we have a leader in place that can ensure both our customer and business needs are met.
”At a time when the industry faces a number of challenges relating to claims management, I’m confident that Robin’s experience and expertise will allow us to maintain focus on delivering the already award-winning claims service we provide.”
