Policyholdes admire the savings they've made.

Credit crunch, what credit crunch? An open vault containing £16m was unveiled to the public at Waterloo station this week.

The figure represents the amount of money aggregator Comparethemarket believes it has saved its customers on their motor insurance in the past year.

No doubt many would have been desperately grasping at the notes but it was a mirage, with world renowned street artist Kurt Wenner, behind the creation.

Comparethemarket’s Mark Vile said: “With everyone feeling the strain of the credit crunch we’re delighted to have been able to save our customers money on their car and home insurance policies.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
