AIG's chief executive Martin Sullivan has said that the insurer isn't seeing broad rate increases in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
Sullivan said that the storms are pushing up insurance rates in property, marine, onshore and offshore energy lines.
Sullivan said: "There's been some stabilization, but we are not seeing clear rate movements other than in the lines of business affected by this."
He added that while it's too early to estimate losses from Rita, the storm won't significantly affect AIG's financial strength.
