Flybe will refund flights for employed who lose their jobs

Regional airline Flybe is offering free AIG-backed insurance to its customers, allowing them to claim a full refund on their travel costs if they have had two years working for the same employer but lose their jobs.

“Flybe will fund in full the insurance costs through our insurance partner AIG UK and the peace-of-mind guarantee means that if one member of a party on the same booking is made redundant, any or all of the remaining members of that party can receive a refund if they want one. We know that holidays and breaks are important to our passengers and that’s why we’re introducing what we believe is a totally unmatched offer in the aviation world.”

"These are unprecedented times and Flybe wants to do our bit to keep the economy moving," Mike Rutter, chief commercial officer at Flybe.

"Consumers can book with us in January secure in the knowledge that if they lose their job before they travel, Flybe will give them a full refund."

Flybe was not available for comment this morning.
