‘Positive’ talks held between CII, Airmic and IRM

The new title of chartered risk manager is being developed by the CII after positive talks with Airmic and the IRM.

The organisation which already awards chartered status to insurers and brokers said that there was a swell of opinion across the risk management sector for a recognisable standard for the emerging profession.

To win the right to award the new professional status, CII has to demonstrate to the UK Privy Council that it has robust standards and process and is an appropriate awarding body, in a long process that could take about two years.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
